Abby and I hosted an awesome Halloween party on Saturday and had some rocking costumes show up!
We worked really hard on our costumes! I was a roll of sushi (obviously) and Abby was Princess Lolly!
Little Red Riding Hood and the Big Bad Wolf came by! With carmel apples!
Robin Sparkles and Jessica Glitter!
My chef! I think Jake's was the most thrifty, costing only $5 for the chef hat..
And of course we were going to have to make amazing treats for our guests! Chocolate dipped pretzel sticks, skeleton cookies, and, of course, mummy dogs!
The party was great, and we all had an amazing time!
My amazing friend Liana is getting married in May to an amazing guy named Steve. They have been together for like 10 years and are such a great couple.
Yesterday they both had their respective Bachelor and Bachelorette parties in Annapolis. I had never been to a Bachelorette party before so I could only imagine what was in store...
We had an awesome day, and there are a few tips I have picked up from it that I will remember for the next ones.
Organizing a day full of events for 14 people is not an easy task. You really just have to choose what you want to do and go with it. Everyone else attending will make it work for them. I have to thank Laura and Sara for all their planning! It was no easy feat, but they made it happen!
2. Take a passenger van instead of a limo. We went on a small winery crawl and we opted for the van instead of the limo. It saved us some green that we used for drinks later!
3. Wine tastings are a great idea, because they are usually really cheap or free and are a great way to get the party started.
4. If you are doing an all day event, make sure to have food along the way. We packed a picnic lunch for one of the wineries and it was the best decision we ever made. Delicious.
5. If you are doing an all day event, don't slow down for a second! Especially if you have started drinking. Now, this doesn't mean go crazy and then pass out at 10 pm while everyone is out celebrating. But there can be no lull in your activity or you will never be able to get back into it. Coffee breaks help! 6. Always make sure that the bride-to-be is having a blast. Do whatever it takes to make sure the night goes smoothly. We had to deal with a tornado warning last night, flooded streets and over crowded bars, but we always made sure Liana was having fun. 7. Use your "bachelorette party" card to get free drinks. This was one of the best parts about the night, for sure, and make sure you always bring one back for the bride :).
8. Games and flare are awesome and are totally worth it! Get enough for everyone to have a little bit!
It was overall such an amazing night!!! We all had a ton of fun, and I hope Liana did too!!!
