It felt like something had woken up inside of me. So I came home, grabbed my Ipod (let's not get crazy here, I need something), laced up my sneakers and set out for my first outdoor jog in about 10 years.
I was thinking about it, while I was running, and I think I realized why. I am an athlete. I always have been. From the time I was born my Dad had me training to run suicides, practicing my foul shots and defensive stance. (Half kidding) I craved competition and always wanted to do better and excel in what I was playing. I honestly didn't know how much I missed the thrill until I started running.
It's quite addicting. I think I will keep doing it.
