I was inspired to start this list from a fellow blogger Slice of Pink who had done a 30 before 30 list, and is now working on completing a 31 before 31 list. This really spoke to me because I feel like I always have things I say I want to try, but keep putting off because I tell myself I have plenty of time down the road to do them. Well, having this list encourages me not to wait for some unknown time in the future, but take advantage of the time I have now to do something positive. Now, my 23rd birthday is only a month away so after that I will actually start trying to complete this list. For now, here are the 24 I have come up with....
1. relearn geography (like I should know)
2. read a newspaper everyday for at least 20 min
3. apply (and get into) grad school (COMPLETED JUNE 14)
4. volunteer at least once a month
5. spend a day in nature at least once a month (Great Falls, Cherry Blossoms, Kayaking)
6. read at least 10 books: Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, The Bronze Horseman, The Help , The Paris Wife,
7. reconnect with an old friend
8. host a dinner party
9. eat two vegetarian dinners a week
11. dedicate one day a month to photography
12. go to 3 new museums (Native American History Museum,
13. travel to a different country I have never been to
14. travel to at least 2 states I have never been to
15. do a ghost hunt
16. go to a drive in movie
17. have a picnic
18. go to the top of the Washington monument
19. go on a sailboat on the Chesapeake Bay
20. go crabbing
21. do 5 new kinds of workout classes (Xpose,
22. make a new friend
23. donate 100 things I own
24. learn to play a song on my guitar
