Pork in French Bread

I am not quite sure when I came across this delicious recipe, but I knew as soon as I saw it I would have to make it.

A pork loin cooked in a French bread loaf? Is this possible? Well don't worry everyone, it is. And although it looks complicated (and it is a little challenging) it really wasn't all that difficult. So do not be intimidated.

Brown the outside of the pork loin in a pan with some oil. It will give it a nice brown outside and speed up the cooking process once in the oven. Don't be afraid to cook it for a little while in the pan, it will still need 20-30 min in the oven.

After it has been browned on every side and cooled a little, I decided to smother the meat in the most amazing thing ever created, you know besides chocolate, cheese and wine. Dijon, whole grain, mustard.

See Abby and I have a mutual love for many things, like chocolate, cheese and wine, but more importantly grain mustard. If you haven't had it before, do yourself a favor, buy a jar. Cook a sausage, make a sandwich, make pork in a French bread loaf. Just do it.

Pork is cooked, it is rolled in rosemary, sage, salt, pepper and garlic (amazing) and now it is time to stuff it in some bread. Grab your French bread and hollow out the inside. The insides make a great dipping bread so if you are planning for a dinner, make an appetizer with this!

Um. Have you ever seen anything like this in your whole life? It's like a massive hotdog covered in amazing herbs and spices.

After it is stuffed use your kitchen twine, you know the one you just bought for this specific recipe because who in the world keeps kitchen twine, and wrap up the whole thing nice and tight.

You don't want any of this delicious goodness to fall out.

Trust me.

Throw it on a baking sheet and pop into a 375 degree oven for about 30 minutes.

And here it is. It will be a cross between amazing pork wrapped in garlic bread. I also recommend dabbing some olive oil on the inside of the bread to keep it moist.

And don't forget the grain mustard.
